Flagship Lincoln Continental Returns with Luxury, Style, Power and Technology

The all-new 2017 Lincoln Continental is a return to the flagship Lincoln vehicle that delivers elegance, power and a comfortable, relaxing ride in the form of a full-size sedan that’s designed to have presence on the road whether it’s around town or on the highway.

Under the Hood

Lincoln engineers equipped the 2017 Continental with a 3-liter GTDI V6 engine that delivers 400 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. Models equipped with all-wheel-drive systems make use of dynamic torque vectoring to automatically adjust torque between left and right rear wheels for superior cornering and handling, especially in tight turns.

Drivers can choosw between three suspension settings – normal, comfort and sport – for a customizable driving experience that perfectly fits their preferences. Continuously controlled damping monitors the road conditions 23,000 times per second and makes automatic adjustments to the suspension for a smooth and comfortable ride.

Comfort and Convenience

Lincoln’s SYNC 3 infotainment system is the hub for much of the technology in the vehicle. Seamlessly linking with smartphones, the system incorporates conversational voice commands for a variety of functions including audio streaming, mobile app integration, navigation and hands-free calling. It is also able to read text messages so drivers can keep their hands on the wheels and eyes on the road while staying connected to friends, family and business connections.

The available 360-degree camera makes maneuvering in tight places easy, giving drivers a seamless overhead view of the vehicle generated by four cameras – mounted at the front, rear and each side of the vehicle.

Perfect-position seats are inspired by private jets and high-end office furniture and can be adjusted up to 30 ways to fit individual body shapes and weights for maximum comfort.

Rear-seat passengers benefit from available audio and climate controls as well as heated, cooled and massaging seats.

Lincoln engineers designed the 2017 Continental with safety in mind. A full set of airbags protects driver and passengers in the event of a collision from front or either side, as well as a rollover crash.

Three-point seat belts with pretensioners and load limiters help reduce injuries in the event of a collision, and the LATCH system allows child seats to be safely secured.

Other standard and available safety features include adaptive cruise control, pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, and a rearview camera to make reversing as safe as possible.

Four-wheel antilock disc brakes with brake assist stop the vehicle quickly.
